Profitable Home-Based MLM - Keep Your Presentation Simple
July 17, 2008 by admin · Leave a Comment
Keeping your MLM presentation simple is key. Every element you mention gives your prospect one more thing to think about … and a thinking prospect often will not act.
What is your exact offer? What can you cut out of it to make it simpler? Can everyone understand it? Can you possibly make the prospect’s choice any easier?
Use simple words. Create a simple emotional image in your prospect’s mind.
Focusing your mind has a magical effect. When you totally focus on what you REALLY want to achieve, it’s easy to see the excess that you can slice away.
Copywriter & business owner Joe Sugarman has been a mentor of mine for a long time. Many years ago, he was being given the chance to introduce the “Swiss Army Watch” in the U.S. The manufacturer brought him 3 styles, each in 3 colors - 9 different watches, designed to appeal to men, women, and children.
Joe’s instincts told him to feature just one watch in his Wall Street Journal ad. The manufacturers got very upset. They “knew” that more choices would bring in more sales.
So Joe did a test. Half the ads featured all the watches, and half the ads featured a single choice. The single choice ad outsold the other ad by 3 to 1.
When people have to make a choice, they often feel they need to consider the options and decide later. Of course, later never comes.
But when you keep your network marketing offer simple and give them only one choice, their decision is much easier. There’s only one option. That’s why Joe’s single-watch ad outperformed the toher by 3 to 1.
Why did YOU choose this opportunity? I’ll bet there was one reason that was more important to you than all the others. Focus on that reason, and how it will benefit your prospect. Try it - see how that affects your results.
You are way better off to focus your opportunity presentation on a single, simple, powerful idea … then really dig into that single idea.
For a product promotion, focus on a single product. Once you have buyers, then you can let them know about your other products. But for that first decision, keep it as simple as possible.
Remember - a confused mind walks away. The more involved your presentation, the more confused minds you will create. To build a richarddennisnetworking.com/ profitable home-based mlm, you must tell people exactly what they should do, exactly what they should buy. Once they become your customer, you can present more complicated offers & ideas to them … but not before.
