Share What You Know
Of course this is free information but, an infopreneur or info-marketer is a pure information provider. This is the stuff that everyone is looking for on the web. Millions of web surfers hit the net every day looking for an answer to a question. A piece of information to fill a gap in their knowledge, or a solution to a nagging problem that needs to be solved.
With so many people looking for a work-at-home business or internet marketing opportunity and, unlike those “get-rich-quick’ schemes or most multilevel marketing (MLM) programs, this is a real honest-to-goodness business model that doesn’t take a lot of money or an advanced degree to start.
Offer What You Know
That’s right your knowledge and your know-how. Surely you have mastered something that you love doing . . . and can’t stop talking about.
That’s what you offer your web/blog site visitors. Yes, you need either one of these to start a business on the web. You can either purchase software or use a free blog or low cost website provider. I recommend www.blogger.com or www.godaddy.com.
Now you need to identify what you should be sharing with people. Just sit back relax and think of all of your experiences as a volunteer, employee, professional, free classes/free seminars you may have taught.
For example I realized and others too, my teaching gift in 1983. I began teaching Sunday school and from there speaking, next seminars and from that point one day workshops. So this is my passion and now I have started a business from it teaching people what I know.
Don’t be afraid to venture out thinking “everybody already knows this” trust me you would be surprised what people don’t know and also your experience will give a different spin on what someone else’s experience is.
People are curious and in need of helpful information. They will find your website by using keywords and key phrases. When you write enthusiastically about your favorite subject, you immediately communicate enthusiasm and it is catchy.
You give away information, it attracts people and you help them solve a problem, or fill a need for information, your cost will be your time.
It will take “a certain amount of time” before you build up the kind of traffic that will attract advertisers.
Next To No Operating Costs
Infopreneurs risk their time, no significant investment, inventory and near negligible operating costs. With proper planning and guidance an Infopreneur can reduce their risk of conducting business to next to nothing.
