If Someone Claims That You Can Make Money By Doing Nothing - BEWARE!

I hear people making claims all the time that are more unrealistic than the idea of growing a money tree. One of these claims is basically this: We’ll do all the work and you make money! This always involves you spending your money on their product, and then they will do the work to help make you wealthy. If you stop for a moment and analyze this statement, how does it really sound? It sounds just a little too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, what did your mother tell you about things that sound too good to be true?
We all want to believe that a statement like this is true, but the fact is that is simply isn’t. It really doesn’t even make sense. Of course you can’t make money by doing nothing. In order to make money, you have to bring true value to the marketplace. These people that make claims such as the title of this article are almost always not bringing anything of value to the marketplace. What they bring to the marketplace is hype.
The biggest thing for everyone to remember about making money is that if you want to find a way to make money, make sure the way you choose revolves around something that you feel passionate about. Too many people jump into things just for the promise of making money. As you are all well aware, jumping into something just for the promise of money and/or freedom simply doesn’t work. You must feel passionate about whatever it is that you’re trying to make money with in order for it to work.
We all feel passion for something. There’s always that one thing that you enjoy doing more than anything else. It could be baking, raising children, hunting, building cars, writing, singing, animals, cats, horses, shooting, or literally any number of things. If you make sure that whatever you attempt to make money with involves or revolves around your passion, you’ll have a much better shot at success. As I’ve said, if money is the motivating factor, you will never be successful. Do you honestly think that Steven King does what he does for the money? Or ever did? I promise you he didn’t. He did it because he loves to write.
I’m not saying that you’ll achieve the success of Steven King. I’m simply saying that if you follow your passion you have a much better shot than following some hype master making totally unreal claims just for the promise of money. The next time you think that you need more money and that money will make you happy, remember what David Geffen said on the subject, “Anybody who thinks money will make you happy, hasn’t got money.”
